Alcatel 3C could be the cheapest smartphone with 18:9 display

Smartphone with 18:9 aspect ratio display was reserved for high-end smartphones, but recently many companies including the new feature inside their mid-tier products.

Today, A Big Chinese company TCL uplift the standard for budget-friendly smartphones by adding 18:9 displays to at least one of its devices. Alcatel 3C is one of the many phones that TCL plans to introduce in the next few months and, judging by the specs list, an inexpensive one.

Indeed, it looks like Alcatel 3C will sell in Europe for no more than €120 outright. The new device will be available in three colors: Metallic Black, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Gold.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Have December Security Patch

A few days ago we heard that the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy Note 8 Plus received the December cellular country complaintssecurity update, now it is going to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Samsung has released an OS update for their Note 5 smartphone and together with the security update for December for Google’s Android OS.

The update will fix numerous vulnerabilities in Android and also comes with some security updates from Samsung. This software update has rolled out in India, it should be coming to more countries soon.

iPhone 6 Plus explode as she slept next to it

FLORIDA – iPhone 6 plus user posted online that her handset all of a sudden burst into flames iphone-6-plus-explode-as-she-slept-next-to-itwhile it charged on a nightstand.

Amanda Bentz of Tampa Bay stated from CBS news affiliate WTSP pertaining to her iPHone 6 Plus,

“It woke me up… the flames itself. There was no warning. It didn’t start sparking, smoking… nothing. Out of nowhere it just burst into flames.”  Pertaining to her iPhone 6 Plus explosive episode. Amanda was using an Apple charger to recharge her iPhone when the incident happened.

Amanda husband Kyle posted the experience on his Facebook page, warning people to be very cautious of charging any phone next to them as they slept.

“It’s a little scary waking up to your wife’s iPhone 6 Plus on fire right next to her head,” Kyle narrated.

“It was blowing fire out scorched her pillow case earrings and drapes… Not sure what happened it’s something internal because charger was not warm at all,” he continued.

Bentz is expecting to get a replacement unit. Apple has requested for a $749 hold on Bentz’s credit card, which will be released back to her once she has delivered the damaged iPhone back to the company.

Some other rumored specs of the Galaxy Tab S8 are its improved 4000mAh battery, 32GB internal memory. 9.7-inch model is expected to have bigger storage and battery capacity of 5870mAh.

AT&T to reimbursement $88M to consumers

AT&T will start refunding 2.7 million clients for charged items they hadn’t agreed to including att-to-reimbursement-88m-to-consumerswallpapers, text message subscription and ringtones, the Federal Trade Commission verified.

Regulator reported in 2014 that a total of $88 million could be return to consumers for charges made for selection of services offered by third party providers Tattoo and Acquinity.

Next a extended period of collating and confirming complaints, AT&T will credit present and past consumers within the next 75 days.

Based to the FTC’s complain, ATT set unauthorized fees on bills for items such as horoscope, love  tips and cat alerts in a strategy called mobile cramming. Despite the fact that some of this cash was handed on to the third party providers, the FTC says ATT kept 35 percent of the fees. The operator modified its payment system following the preliminary investigation.

Chairwoman of FTC Edith Ramirez mentioned: “AT&T received a high volume of complaints related to mobile cramming prior to the FTC and other federal and state agencies stepping in on consumers’ behalf. I am pleased that consumers are now being refunded their money and that AT&T has changed its mobile billing practices.”

Regional Telcos stop Galaxy Note 7 Sale

Local telcos in Singapore like Singel, M1 and samsung galaxy note 7StarHub have pulled the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 away their racks soon after the South Korean electronics giant publicized a global recall of its newest handset amid reports that several devices exploded while being charged.

StarHub spokesperson  told to Channel News Asia“Samsung has informed us that it will provide customers with updates on phone exchange at a later date. In the meantime, Galaxy Note7 users seeking more information on their phone can contact Samsung’s customer care hotline at 1800-Samsung.”

M1 mentioned to their Facebook page, “In line with Samsung’s global Note 7 sales halt, M1 has stopped sales of the handset.”
